Global Photo Guides, is a growing series of interactive travel guides, designed to take photographers and creative influencers off the well-trodden tourist track to discover hidden gems and to explore inspirational new locations.
Created by travel and landscape photographer Jon Barker in 2016, there are currently two books in the series, with more scheduled for release. Photographing Lanzarote: An Insider’s Guide to Lanzarote’s Most Stunning Locations, and Photographing Lefkada: An Adventurer’s Guide to the Most Beautiful Locations on the Island of Lefkada, are priced at £4.99 each and available for download via iTunes/iBooks for iOS, Google Play Store for Android, and Amazon Kindle Store for Kindle Fire devices.
Published as ebooks, the digital guides work in the same way as an app, and can be downloaded, accessed and used on a smartphone or smart device, and as such are constantly updated (at no extra cost) with all the latest information to ensure your travel experience is as easy, enjoyable, and streamlined as possible. Each guide contains an overview of the destination, followed by a range of chapters covering specific locations and a range of captivating, yet largely undiscovered wonders ready for you to explore. You’ll find stunning image galleries to get the creative juices flowing, interactive maps to help you reach the photographic hotspots, and HD video content to showcase what is achievable from both the land and air. There’s also up to date safety advice, directions, timing suggestions, gear guides, plus historical, cultural and factual information to add context and colour to the scene that you are photographing.
